Thoughts for today: Do parents think what they say? I asked to today, at 8am "did you make your millions overnight?" - Maybe I am soft but I didnt find it very helpful......

Choices: to many choices, I can see ways and proven ways that make money. it has to be with the understanding, to allow the time for it to make money. You need a business mindset, not an employee mindset.

Why some websites dont sell

Most of the time- the reason is not that the product isnt good, its mroe that the reason to buy is not big enough- not enough urgency on offer made.

Retail is really good at this - online...you see it every weekend with specific sales that only available till the end of the week end

There are 2 ways to get customers online:

1. big a reconised big brand (or brand name)
2. Build a relationship

I see websites that try to "hid" the peoson behind it, regardless of size people do business with people.....period wheater its online or off

Power of focus

Working on a new project, i relized that I was over complicating what wanted to do. the project was based on another software product, I watched someone else sell. Now my concept is to duplicare exactly what they did -simple when you think about it...........

Business Models

It looking to maybe go into business, look for something when there is repeat billing AND you have some sort of power over the customer. I mean that in a good way- best example is web design and hosting, great model- payment for design up front, recurring monthly for hosting and if any problem with payment, you have the power to take the website offline........

Payment Circles

I am not sure whats like for other businesses but its seems like I am always in a payment circle, hoping to get paid before to many people want to get paid from me! I am glad i dont have to much in the way of regular staff (some virtual)

Makes for hard word if someone is slow to pay.......

Finding a market

In researching a market, I look at the quality of the competiton, sometimes the websites just SUCK and mean but ugly and I wouldnt order from them.........

Thats a good sign, its means anything 1/2 good, with a lot of promotion, will win, especially if it comes from an angle that forms a coumunity as has peropl talking about it (with a focus on building a list)

I have send it many times before- A lot of people have made money online, but they have to believe they could first otherwise it just doesnt work. You have to have the belief first, so that you take enough action to break threw the challenges- makes sense right?

The process

Even see how things work when you keep them moving ? its doesnt have to be 100% perfect, but moving....

Should you fire Clients?

Even ones that pay on time? Sometimes you get a client who is good at paidng ontime, but its hard to work with, even somewhat "untrusting" - We some I work with, and keep in tounch with, i feel like they dont believe in the work I am doing- sometimes they think they should have a top 10 ranking yeaterday!

$100,000 a year is not worth it if you are not happy, but I guess its realy your choice..............

Every day I se ways to move closer to my goald, but I guess you have to have some, before you can see them. If you dont then no point in moving or taking any action.

Applied for Job - Boo woo

I applied a for a couple of jobs today- not because i wanted too, as a matetr of cash flow- not where it should be, I have sites coming online and a buisnes partner for a new project, which will work well, but is not quite there yet.

Job for a purpose i guess - its still online marketing, but for a subject i dont that well- will see what happens.............

On being tired

With having long days using a PC, it can be extremely tiring. Also since we having been using a PC for to many years, no long term studies have been completed, so we can only guess what the long term results are. We are going to have problesm we have never seen before......

What did we do before Google?

I have a chinese guy working for me- english is second language, so some understnding of words is difficult, so he jumps online to a translattor website 9there are many) and translates the words- brillant!

Oh and thank goodness for spell check- otherwise I would never be able to write anything!

Mondays really are good ;)

Mondays are great if you enjoy what you do- Saw an oppotyunity today - used Flippa.com to find adsense sites that were available. Found a block of 20 pre built sites that were making money already (not a lot but some)

So was worth the risk- at $1000 on my CC- as a risk worth it....Moving on and getting tham amking money will be simple as they are already up abnd running for 3 months- love time!

Long Days

On some days I wonder why I took my stesp into self employment. I am good at what I do (SE) but clients that pay consistantly, with out being chased are good :)

Anyway I will have my 600 websites all making me money then I can pick and choose who I work for (if anybody)

Getting paid

With some in new zealand, You have to wait till the 20th of the month to get paid in business, its like a big merry go round where everyone has to wait for the payments to come in. I guess thats what draws me to the online world- getting paid by Google is consistant on time and never late ;)

And the feeling (what ever the size) is amazing!

Why is it that more people dont achieve the success they want. Maybe because they dont apply themselves long enough or believe in thremselves enough to take enough action

People dont like change

Recently,I had the chance to speak to a well know local business magazine editor. He was quite down, and said that he was only just making it in his business model. He was reslved to "carry on" with the way they had always done things. (blaming the economy)

Reality is that its change in the way busines is Done whick has casued whats going on. I was tried to stick his head in the say rather than embrace change- not unusal but painful -if you always done what you always have youll always get what you always....
